The English Springer Spaniel is a versatile all rounder who can sit at a driven shoot or in a duck blind for evening flight, but he comes alive when he’s allowed to hunt in ditches and hedgerows for the wild pheasants and rabbits that lurk beneath the overhanging briars and blackthorns, nothing can be more exhilarating than a cock pheasant exploding from heavy cover with a Springer right behind him!!
